Thursdays Top Tips- Relaxing


If any of my close friends are reading this post then I can almost guarantee that they are having a good old chuckle, because relaxing just isn’t my thing. I suck at it, I just don’t have the ability to switch off, but over the years I have found a few tricks and tips that definitely help!

Tip One- A Pamper evening!

Potentially this is the most obvious and I’m almost certain that at some point or other we have all had one, but it remains a timeless and easy way to relax. The above picture show a few of the bits that I like to incorporate in to my pamper evening!


Tip Two- Escapism!

This is potentially my favourite way to relax because, why not. For just half hour (my personal concentration span) why not escape into somebody else’s world? Potentially a world that is ten times more interesting, mystical or glamorous? On that note, where is my book?


Tip Three- Write!

I’m one of those annoying people that likes to write everything down, and I do literally mean everything! Every night before bed (sometimes I do it in the morning or late afternoon), I sit down and plan the following day, from meetings to tasks. I find this really helps me to stop worrying about things, because I can see a time and place when tasks will eventually be completed!!

I also like to journal and it is something that I try and do as much as I can. I write everything down, any thing good or bad that has happened. Its so liberating to have those thoughts written down on paper (especially bad ones). I finish by writing a gratitude list because that makes me feel good!

If you are uber stress then try all three!!!!
