I’ve seen this post floating about the blogsphere for a while now and I’ve really been wanting to give it a try. However….I am going to add a teeny tiny twist.
I like to think that this blog is broadly classed as a beauty, fashion, lifestyle and occasional rant blog and it therefore goes without saying that these are things that make me very happy, and I really don’t want to bore you by just reiterating this point. Instead I am going to share with you my guilty pleasures, things that make me happy but that you might not necessarily know about. I’ve decided to limit my list to five as this could fastly turn in to a life story, and that’s tomorrow’s post. Jokes…..come back!
Oh, but there’s one catch…this stays between us, that ok?
1- A Satisfying Blog Post.
Sigh, there is nothing nicer than writing a blog post and feeling genuinely satisfied, proud and happy with it. I don’t think people realise how much effort, thought and time we all put in to writing, maintaining and creating content for our blogs, and writing a post that makes you happy is just awesome. I enjoy writing all the content on this blog, but now and again you write a post and you can’t help but feel incredibly proud of yourself. For me, tomorrow’s post and the Mandela post that I wrote a few months back, felt this way and it is one of the best things in the world. Fact.
2- Filofax Videos
Last week I treated myself to a beautiful new Filofax (domino A5 in red and blog post to follow sometime in the future) and since then I have been researching fun ways to put it to good use. For me youtube is great for inspiration, for blog posts and Filofax tips, and I have found several fun things to add to my set up.
This one is pretty self-explanatory but for me, it is a particular type of silence. I’m a really chatty person and I love being surronded by people (side effect of university halls) but sometimes silence is bliss. I love waking up in the morning to silence, not a sound but the birds outside the window (occasionally ruined by the sound of howling huskies, anyone else have this problem?).
4- Dance Moms
I love trashy TV shows and for me this is the creme of the crop. It’s filled with drama, arguements and bitchy comments, in thory I shoukd hate it but I don’t. I LOVE it.
5- When Ed Miliband get’s the better of David Cameron at PMQS
What can I say? I love watching the PM get his ass whooped!
What makes you happy?
