It all started in university, when me and a dear uni friend first attended the Clothes Show on a bit of whim, braving the two-hourly train to Birmingham. Since then it has become a staple of my December and this year I was thrilled to have a few additional family members with me. The annual Clothes Show is fun enough on its own but add the company of your awesome family and needless to say you are destined for a fun few hours.
Despite there being more people to cater for, more eyes to spy lovely purchases and less hours all round, I enjoyed this year ten times more than the last. Together we stalked the aisles of the arena, taking in the stalls and admiring the offers, cleverly navigating our away and pretty much covering the entire show (a mean feat I can tell you). This year just generally felt more organised, less impulsive and more worthwhile and I spent less money but felt that I had got more.
The show itself had a New York theme and like all things American, it wasn’t done in half measures. The dances were beautiful and fun loving, the clothes a cool mix of the extravagant and street savy. The result, totally fabulous.
While I didn’t spend a huge amount of money, I did indulge in a few of the make-up goodie bags and will be reviewing those products in the near future!

P.S. I just wanted to give you a small update on my current blog schedule, which has gone a little astray. Last week I pledged to blog about Christmas every day for the next month but having found myself uninspired and honestly bored with the posts I had planned (they were too similar to each other or last years posts). So instead i have decided to change them up and continue blogging about what I enjoy, sure there will be the occasional festive inspired post but it will be as and when I fancy. Speak Soon.
