Sephora Haul and First Impressions

It’s not often that I put in a Sephora order, heck I very rarely do and even when I visited the states last year I resisted the temptation to spend all of the money on all of the makeup. However it’s January, my least favourite month of the year and seeing as I’ve been working really hard and sticking to my goal plan I decided that I deserved a treat.

My cheeky little haul came earlier today and I thought that I would share it’s contents and some first impressions, with you.

Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette // (Sephora, £34.02) This was the main reason for my Sephora order in the first place because I was desperate for an easy to use contour palette. I suck at contouring, literally suck at it, but I’m on a mission to master this much respected skill. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews of this palette so I decided to give it a try. I can immediately see that it’s an amazing quality and the colour variety is extremely appealing. I gave this a little whirl earlier today and my first impressions are favourable! It also comes with a handy little tutorial card, helping you on your way to the perfect cheekbones.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita – chestnut rose// (Sephora, £14.79) I saw this gorgeous lip colour in one of ICovetThee’s latest video’s and while it’s not a colour I usually opt for, it was a colour I feel in love with. I love this “mine but better” look because it’s uber flattering and adds a lovely definition to my lips. It’s super long lasting and I can already tell that this is going to be a firm fave.

Sephora Give Me Some Nude Lip // (Sephora, £14.79) Last but not least I bought this beautiful nude lipstick set. I can’t link this item because it seems to have been taken from the website since I ordered it. This cute little lip shaped box contains a number of branded lip products all in gorgeous nude (think MAC Brave) kind of shades. They are beautiful but I’m most excited about the NARS and the NudeStix. I’ve tried the latter company before but in a beautiful red brick red colour and I really enjoy using it, so having a nude one is pretty much perfect. This is a cute little kit and would have been a beautiful gift for someone, like yourself.

What do you think? Would you/have you tried any of these?

I fell in love with some Kat Von D lipsticks last year ( including Lolita) and I can say that they worth it. I love all the colours and now I’m thinking about buying the countour palette. I haven’t got it yet because it is a little bite expensive but I hope to receive it as a birthday present.

That sucks. We have to pay shippings costs but it’s not too bad. They are amazing, defer growing brand 🙂 xx

  • I literally had the Kat Von D contour palette in my hands yesterday in Sephora! I was so tempted, but it’s very expensive. Maybe next time I’m in the States. I also tried the liquid lipstick in store and really wasn’t impressed! I found it to be sticky, didn’t last well and felt really dry on my lips. It can’t be for everyone though can it 🙂
