Habit One – Project Routine

Project-Routine

I’m determined to make 2016 my year and that means making a few subtle changes to my lifestyle. Let’s just say that I have a few “bad habits” that are not exactly helping my progress, so in order to really move forward with my life I need to turn them around.

So i’ve come up with an idea, each month I am going to attempt to tackle one of the mentioned habits and instead replace it with something that is more beneficial. Of course I am going to blog about it and then report back a month later.

This month we are taking on the first habit on my hit list, the fact that I don’t have a routine.

When it comes to being productive I’m someone that really likes structure and values everything being organised and yet despite knowing what works for me I’m also guilty of not doing it.

I know that if I do certain things in the morning I am far more likely to have a productive day and yet I still find myself skipping them, sometimes my logic astounds me.

Anywhoo that is all about to change because form today I am going to make a conscious effort to get myself in to a routine, one that works for me and sets me up for the day.

So how am I going to achieve this I hear you ask?

  1. I am going to get up an hour earlier than I usually would because this gives me plenty of time to get everything sorted without me having to feel rushed.
  2. I’m going to ensure that my evening routine is up to scratch because this will allow me to optimise my time and to get the most sleep!
  3. Once I’ve done everything that I want to do in the morning (shower, dress, make-up, etc) I’m then going to make a to do list because this will make sure that i don’t feel stressed and it will help me feel in control of my life!

I’ll report back at the end of the month, what habits would you like to break in 2016?
