Missing People Choir – Britain’s Got Talent

Aside from the obvious struggles that come with having a missing loved one – one of the hardest aspects can be the constant fight to keep cases alive. After initial investigations, cold cases are often solved by new evidence and sometimes this comes in the form of a new witness or tip. I am always inspired by how families keep their cases in the media and as our world constantly changes and develops, it’s important for campaigns to move with it. That’s why I was particularly touched by the Missing People’s Choir who recently auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent. Naturally they touched the hearts of millions and their emotional performance brought tears to the eyes of many.  The choir is made up of staff and volunteers for the charity, as well as the families…

New project – Monday Mysteries and Myths AND GIVEAWAY

Hey everyone, I've been wanting to restart my YouTube channel for a while now, but I was struggling to find the genre that I wanted to fit in. I wanted to do gaming video's but also to discuss the subjects I am passionate about. So after much thought, I decided to have two channels - one for each. I am so excited to launch to my new channel, Monday Mysteries and Myths. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing the mysteries and myths that most interest me and using it to raise awareness of missing people. By the time this post goes live, there will already be 2 video's on there and many more to follow. So in order to launch this channel, I am hosting a giveaway and the lucky winner…

Missing – Leah Roberts

It’s shocking to me that people can disappear off the face of the earth with little evidence of where they went or what happened to them. And yet every year thousands of people go missing, leaving behind family and questions with no answers. For some of these cases, there will never be an easy answer, there will never be any closure and answers are few and far between. It only ever takes one person to solve a case and that’s why I talk about the missing, because one person could solve the unsolved. Today we are going to be delving in to another missing persons case, as investigate what happened to Leah Roberts. Who was Leah Roberts? On the 23rd of July 1976, Leah Toby Roberts was born. She was the youngest of three…

Different from the book – 13 reasons why

*Spoiler alert and trigger warning* Last weekend I finished watching the latest Netflix sensation, 13 Reasons Why. It’s a show that has been commissioned for a second series, despite the predictable controversy that came with it. For those yet to watch the show, it’s about a young girl who committed suicide and a set of tapes that she leaves behind. These tapes are essentially a suicide letter but each side is dedicated to a different person who played a part in her story. They are essentially like a chain letter as they have to be passed from person to person. If this is not followed, the tapes will be released. While I personally haven’t yet made my mind up on the ethics of the show – I do think it glamourized and trivialised suicide…

Monday Mysteries – Brian Shaffer

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to another missing person’s pots. The observant among you may have noticed that I’ve changed the title of this series slightly. I’ve decided to run with Monday Mysteries instead, because it allows me to have more scope when creating content for this series. It won’t change the content as such, I’ll still be writing about missing people, but it will allow me to fill the gaps with other interesting mysteries too. Over the past weekend I have also decided to restart my Sims YouTube channel and alongside that I’ve also set up a new channel for Monday Mysteries content. Over the next few weeks I will be using this channel to make video’s that go alongside my blog posts, helping to raise awareness of unsolved cases. Anywhoo, today…
