My current skincare routine…

It’s not often that you see a sknicare related post on my blog because I’m pretty lazy on that front, I have a bad habit of relying on my usually predictably good skin and don’t usually take a proactive approach. However over the past few weeks, due to it being winter, I’ve been making a conscious effort to change my bad habits and have been incorporating skincare in to my daily routine. Wow have I noticed a difference.

Cleanser// If I was stranded on a desert island and was only allowed to take one skincare based item, a cleanser would definitely be my first choice and this is a staple in my daily routine. I love cleaning my face in the morning with a light, gentle and refreshing cleanser and repeat the same stage again in the evening. I’m a huge fan of the Nuetrogena Grapefruit wash but lately I’ve been using the InSitu Cosmetics Anti-blemish face wash, wake me up for combination skin, and the difference has been monumental. My skin has miraculously developed a glow, it’s blemish free and just generally feels a lot better. I am in love with the whole InSitu Cosmetics experience and love that you customise your skincare order. Beauty products that offer customisation are definitely having their moment (post to come next week) but this is one of the best on the market and I honestly recommend giving it a go. It’s skincare with your name on it (literally, have a close look at the bottle above).

Emma Harding Cleansing Balm// Over the last few months I have tried my hardest to find a highs-street alternative to this much loved make-up remover and yet despite my best efforts here were are again. I love this thick, vaseline-like substance and while it remains an expensive, investment buy it is well worth the money. It feels luxurious, it does the job and it leaves my skin feeling deliciously smooth and soft. Ahhh, love.

Kueshi Pure and Clean Revitalising toner// Once I’ve taken my make-up off and given my face a good wash, I love taking a cotton pad with a little dab of toner across my T zone, just to make sure my pores are nicely clean. I received this toner in my January Glossybox and while I am still trailing it, so far so good.

Juice Plus Capsule// As I mentioned in my introduction to this post, recently I’ve been taking a proactive approach to my skincare and part of this comes from my new healthy eating regime. I’ve recently been back on the juice plus programme, a nutritious healthy eating regime that really helped me over the summer. I initially started with just the shakes and boy was there a difference, I felt my mental health and physical health both greatly improve and was incredibly impressed. So this time when I decided to get back on the programme I decided to invest in the capsules too and yup that was a good decision. These ENTIRELY healthy capsules are definitely what’s created the biggest difference in my routine and if you suffer with ant skin condition, I highly recommend you give them a try. I love reading skin care posts! Hmm…I have so many favourite items. If I was stranded on a desert island though, it would have to be SPF. I attribute my almost militant use of the product to why I often get mistaken for being underage. But I love a good cleanser…and a good sheet mask…and a good essence. Ugh. Your question is so hard to answer!
