My current make-up routine – August 2015

current-make-up-august

The last time I published a current make-up routine it was May and since then I have somewhat shaken up my everyday look so I thought that it might be time for an update. This is the current face that I am wearing on a daily basis because it’s a simple everyday look that is really easy and quick to create.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer // This is one of only two parts of my routine that have stayed the same since May 2015 but I just cannot get enough of this concealer. It’s the perfect shade for my skin-tone and the perfect consistency for an easy morning pick me up. It blends like a dream and leaves a barely there finish, perfect for creating a natural, mine but better effect. If you’re interested in seeing more, check out my previous review.

Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm // In May I boasted about how I was able to foundation-less because of how good my skin was feeling but things have definitely changed on that front. This summer (has it really been a summer though) has done absolutely nothing for my skin and it’s been left with no life, feeling dry and just ugh. So this life saving little BB cream has been my must use product throughout July and August. It’s an easy to wear consistency, blends nakedly to the skin and leaves a natural, dewy finish.

Bourjois Healthy Mix powder foundation // The second ingredient of the above look which has remained the same, but this is crucial for keeping my face oil free and my make-up in place. It’s the only powder that I have ever got on with and is an essential part of my current routine. I use my fluffy ELF contour brush to brush this along my t zone, it blends perfectly and sticks on the skin like a dream.

Bourjous Paris Maxi Delight // You will already know that I am a huge fan of Bourjous bronzers because I have talked and talked about their gorgeous cream numbers. However since discovering this huge bronzer I’ve been using it every day and it is definitely my new fave. It gives a really natural, sun-kissed appearance and brushed along my cheekbones it adds a pop of health and dimension to my skin.

Soap and Glory archery eye brow pencil // This is my “go to” eye brow product because I find it to be uber easy and quick to use. I’m currently in an awkward phase regarding my eyebrows because they just need a good going over but this still helps to fill in those pesky gaps!

Urban Decay Naked 3 // An absolute staple in every single look that I create. I love dusting nooner along my lid and lower lash line, just to even the tone and add a little pop on to my eyes. I find that this colour really flatters my hazel eyes, making them pop and sparkle! I love the diversity of this pretty palette because it can be used to create so many different looks.

I always finish with a flick of black liner on my lower lash line to add some more depth to my eye. I don’t use a specific liner for this, just whatever I grab first and the same goes for mascara.

What face have you been wearing in August?
