It’s Monday and here on OhKay-DohKay that can only mean one thing – it’s time for a MAC lipstick review. It’s pretty safe to say that Monday’s have an unfairly bad reputation, I’m going to go against common consensus here and admit that I kinda like them, but nonetheless it’s the first day of the working week and for some that’s not a good thing. So I thought that I would bring a bit of brightness to your otherwise dreary and very wet Monday, so this week I chose this pretty pink offering.
When I’m feeling flirty, fun-loving or just generally in the mood for a make-up shake-up, I always look for bold lipsticks in pink type shades. MAC Candy Yum Yum is the kinda shade that I’m drawn to like a moth to a flame, it’s pretty, uber flattering and super easy to wear and unlike last weeks review, I really think that this suits me.
As I’ve come to expect from my MAC lippies Candy Yum Yum is a deliciously delicate consistency, smells of nourishing coco butter and feels light and buttery on the lips. I’m fast learning that MAC lipsticks are worth their weight in gold because the cleverly developed formula allows for comfortable wearing and ensures your lips don’t get punished for your pop of colour. They make for perfect day to day wearing and their lasting time is pretty decent, meaning that you only need apply them every two-three hours.
I love wearing this pretty colour with a bronzed up look and come summer when the sun makes a much desired appearance, it will no doubt be my staple summer pout paint.
So as some person once said once upon a time – anything is possible, with sunshine and a flash of pink.
