January Faves…

Can you actually believe that January has already finished, that we’re already in to February? It only seems like yesterday that I was writing my new years post. Scary really, especially when I consider how much progress (or lack of) I’ve made toward my goals. Sigh. The older I get the faster time seems to move and it makes me even more convinced that it’s important to live your life to the fullest and to grab very single opportunity. Anyway pointless pondering aside, for us beauty bloggers the end of the month does also mean something else- it’s time to share our monthly faves.

This year I set myself the challenge of writing a monthly faves every month of 2015 and I am determined to ensure that new and exciting products are included each time. I can be a sucker for the status quo and sometimes I really have to push myself to try new things, having this goal has really been helping me focus.

I’ve been trying to have a make-up detox this month and have therefore been keeping my look as simple as possible. I’m therefore only going to be featuring a few of my choices. Yet despite this is has been a month of new discoveries and re-discoveries and these are the one’s I’ve been loving. through January.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer (£9.99, Boots) This luxurious bronzer was a staple in my make-up routine throughout the summer of 2014 and having recently rediscovered it in my box of tricks I am once again smitten. While Bourjois market this as a primer I personally prefer to use it as a thick, dewy cream bronzer and love applying it to my cheekbones over the top of my foundation. A few little dots goes along way and leaves the perfect look of a sun kissed, gentle tan. I’m almost at the bottom and will definitely be repurchasing this on my next visit to Boots.

MAC Lady Danger (£15.50, MAC) This is not going to come as a surprise to any of you but this month I have been completely obsessed with my newest lipstick purchase. It’s safe to say that I am definitely a MAC convert and am in love with this flattering, comfortable and wearable shade. It’s heaven in a bullet.

Flower Flower BB Cream ($12.59, Walmart) This BB cream is the perfect shade for my skin and is therefore uber-flattering and blends to the skin like a dream. It offers the perfect level of coverage, hiding away the pesky blemishes and yet remaining to look light and dewy on the skin. It’s not an easy product to find, I got mine in a Memebox, so I’m having to be incredibly careful with the amount I use and I’m dreading running out of this bad boy! When summer arrives I’ll be reaching for this instead of a foundation and it’s fast becoming my go to base.

What have you been loving in January?
