As a Glossybox subscriber it’s fair to say that I have an extensive eyeliner collection and should I want to, I could probably draw the entire rainbow on my upper lid using just liner’s alone. Yet while we wait for that trend to actually take hold (I’m kidding, way to fiddly) it’s nice when a new liner trend walks on to the scene.
I’ve said it time and time again but I’m always looking for new trends, particularly micro trends those little, subtle changes that make all the difference. So I’m defiantly excited about the brown liner revolution! It’s actually amazing what difference brown can make, particularly with darker eye tones. It immediately warms the entire eye area up, adding definition and managing to make eyes look bolder and brighter. Perfect for those rushed winter morns.
Recently I’ve been using my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (nooner) to shade my upper lid, dragging it right in to the corner and the outer edge of the bottom lash liner and smudging it ever so slightly. I then use a light brown liner (brow pencil will work) to gently liner my lower lash and again smudging it ever so slightly. This is a look that’s perfect for eyeliner novices and the perfect place to start for liner newbies.
I love this look on me, it just adds something different but remains neutral and suitable for everyday life. This is a trend to get in line with, so get those brown pencils at the ready!
