February Favourites 2015…

IMG_0066

Boo, I’m back, have you missed me?

Sorry for the lack of interaction lately but I’ve been battling the return of my depression and sadly as a side-effect I seem to have lost my blogging mojo. It kinda sucks but no good getting down about it and today I’m feeling a lot better, not quite back to fighting fit but getting there. So you lucky people will be getting double doses of OhKay-DohKay of the next few days, don’t say I’m not kind to you.

So today it’s February favourites time, admittedly this post is a few days later than I had originally intended but better late than never, hey? I feel the need to give myself a little pat on the back, two months and two favourites post, go me! Two down and ten more to go so best not carried away with myself right?

I’ve made quite a few new discoveries this month so let’s get to it.

EOS lip balm // (£6.99, Selfridges) I’m so excited that Spring is almost here, not only does it mean a change in weather (hallelujah), a new wardrobe to buy and new make-up trends to try but it also means no more dry lips. So while we all await Spring’s welcome return this lip balm has been helping me on my way to fully nourished lips. To see my full review click here.

Journalling // Journalling is something that I really enjoy doing, it helps me focus, stay motivated and clear my busy mind and yet sometimes I find myself neglecting it. So when I was bought this gorgeous leather bound Paperchase notebook for Christmas, I decided that it was time to make it part of my daily routine. This journal is beautiful, it’s dusty pink colour and worn gold fasteners give it a luxe vintage feel, and the paper quality is traditional Paperchase. I’ve been using this a lot throughout February and I love it.

Make-up Revolution, I <3 love make-up blusher in glowing // (£2.99, Make-up Revolution) If heaven was a blusher then this would be the real deal, because this blusher is perfection in a product. This dusty rose blush adds a natural flush of colour and is a convenient cross between a bronzer and a blush, perfect for those hurried days. To see my full review click here.

Bourjois Healthy Balance powder // (£8.99, Boots) I don’t often use powder foundation, it generally does nothing for my skin, but on a recent shopping trip to Boots I decided to give this one a try. I never thought that I would I say this but after all these years I have finally found a powder that works for me. It looks natural on the skin, helps set my foundation and adds slightly more coverage to my concealer. I might see the wonders of powder yet.

Maybelline Brow Satin// (£5.99, Boots) This has been beautifying my brows throughout February and has fast become favourite brow product. It’s consistency and colour adds the perfect natural definition to the brow and its’ waxy feels ensures that it stays in place, lasting throughout the day. To see me my full review, click here.

The balm Frat Boy // (£15.50, Feel Unique) I’ve longed to try this pretty peach blush for many a month so imagine my recent excitement when I spotted a The Balm counter in my local Superdrug. Already a huge fan of the brand having fallen head over heels for the cult highlighter the Mary-Lou Manizer, I chose this blush for it’s pretty apricot colour and easy wearability. It’s safe to say that it doesn’t disappointment and this natural hue adds the perfect pop of colour to the cheeks, lifting the complexion and adding life to a pale day. Full review to follow.

Real Techniques bold metals collection // (£22.00 Triangle Foundation brush, Boots and £12.00 Pointed Crease Brush, Boots) I knew I would love these luxe-looking brushes and having earlier reviewed the foundation brush (click here) I was super excited when my secret swapee bought me the pointed crease brush. It’s fast become my “go to” fave for applying eyeshadow to my upper lid and is uber easy to use. I’ll be expanding my collection over the coming months.

Gossip Girl // There is nothing quite like trashy TV to cheer you up when your feeling blue and boy does Gossip Girl do just that. I was a huge fan of the show when it was first released but due to university and other life changing incidents, I never saw the last two series’. I now remember why I loved the show in the first place, oh and I identify as a Blair. In case you were wondering!

What have you been loving this month?
