Deserted Island Make-Up…


Come on we are amongst friends, so let’s be completely honest and admit that we have all imagined what would happen if we found ourselves stranded on a deserted island. I’ve played this scenario in my head far more often that is actually normal and something has become pretty clear to me. I would be absolutely useless, I would have no idea where to even start, I am far too much of a modern girl to survive all that hunter-gatherer stuff. I would miss all the mod cons from my iPad, Macbook and iPhone to my bathtub and Ben and Jerry’s. I would struggle to last a day.

I think the boredom would get to me before anything else. I am incapable of just sitting down, I always want to be doing something, whether it be writing or reading. But most of all I would miss my cosmetics, my make-up and there are certain items that I just couldn’t be without.

Bourjois Health Balance Powder // Once upon a time, a very very long time ago, I wouldn’t have touched powder with a barge pole but here I am, reliant on this miracle product. When I apply this fine, nourishing powder to my T-zone, it does absolute wonders for how long my make-up stays in place. Full review here.

Eos Lip Balm // This is an essential product for me, during winter and the summer because without them my lips can get really sore, I am very prone to chapped lips. In the summer I do look for balms that have higher SPF levels as my lips have been known to burn really badly, something that is oh so painful. Full review here.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer // I am almost out of this beauty so I would need to grab a new one, but this is something that I would very much miss. I still love powder bronzers but come summer I find that cream bronzers just look far more dewy and natural. This is my current cream bronzer of choice but having heard rave reviews about their BB cream, I am really looking forward to trying that one out too.

MAC Brave // I am still in love with this gorgeous lip colour and I’ve recently taken to wearing it without any other make-up. It’s the perfect “mine but better” lippie and can add a polish to an otherwise bare face. A slick of this and I could take on the world. Full review here.
