I can’t believe that I haven’t updated my make-up routine since January this year. It feels like such a long time ago and during that time my life, the country – and less importantly my make-up routine – have all changed considerably, so I decided it was time for an update!
I’ve been loving my nude, natural shaded make-up throughout April-May, it’s such an easy, low maintenance kind of look. But no doubt that come July I’ll be reaching for my brighter coloured lipsticks, yet until the sun makes a much needed appearance, this is my current routine.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer // If you follow me on twitter, you’ll already have seen me praising the improvement in my skin, so this month I’ve been consciously going foundation free. Instead of using a foundation, CC or BB cream, I’ve been using this gorgeous concealer, dotted on my “problem” area’s and then blended out accordingly. It’s the perfect shade for my skin-tone and the perfect consistency for an easy morning pick me up. If you’re interested in seeing more, check out my previous review.
Bourjois Healthy Mix powder foundation // This is crucial for keeping my face oil free and my make-up in place and quite honestly, I wouldn’t leave the house without it. It’s the only powder that I have ever got on with and is an essential part of my current routine. I use my fluffy ELF contour brush to brush this along my t zone, it blends perfectly and sticks on the skin like a dream.
Chanel Vita Aqua Lumere // I just stated that I haven’t been wearing foundation, so you’re probably a bit baffled as to this beauty’s appliance but this is my current bronzer of choice. A few weeks ago I made a massive booboo when I bought this expensive foundation in the entirely wrong shade. Yet the savvy chick that I am (I wish) I immediately found a use, because this colour is the perfect bronzing shade. It’s natural dewy and leaves a gorgeous glow to my rather pale complexion, adding definition and depth to back in to my face. I’ve been using this along my cheekbones with a slight dusting of Soap and Glory Wonderbronze to finish the effect. Perfection.
Naked 3, Nooner // This is a staple in my monthly make-up routines, it’s a much loved favourite of mine and nooner is my everyday shade of choice. It’s a few shades darker than my actual skin-tone, meaning that it adds depth, definition and shape. I use my Maybelline Brow Satin to tidy them up and line my inner lash line with any black pencil I can lay my paws on. Lashings and lashings of Benefit’s Roller lash mascara and my eyes are ready for the taking.
MAC Brave // MAC Brave is a revolutionary beauty product for me because never before have I crushed on such a nude shade. It’s deliciously creamy, long-lasting and the most flattering shade I owen. Partnered with MAC Whirl my lips easily give Kendell a run for the money. Oh but before you ask, no, mine are au natural!
