It’s April already, where the heck is the year going?? I seem to be writing these posts quicker that you can say Bob’s your Uncle and let’s be fair I’m Welsh so I say it pretty darn quick.
It’s definitely been a busy month for me, a happy month but at times an incredibly stressful month because I’m not progressing towards my goals quite as much as I would like. I have so much that I want to achieve from my life but sometimes it just all gets too much and I find myself feeling overwhelmed. I’ve felt that a lot over the last month, I seem to start one task and before I finish it I move to the next thing, but last week was a bit of a turning point for me. Last week (inspired by New York) I really upped my game, reminded myself of what I wanted and assured myself that the hard wok would eventually pay off.
Anyway, so as per usual here are the bits and bobs that I have been loving this month.
New York, New York // Surely this is no surprise but this month I have been completely and utterly, head over heels besotted with a little place called New York City. I never imagined that I would love it anywhere near as much as I do but as I stated in early posts, it wasn’t the city its self (I mean it partly was obvs) so much as the atmosphere and the spirit. The New Yorkers are just amazingly cool, kind and friendly and within a minute of meeting them you feel as if you’ve known them your entire life. It’s a city that pulls you in, whips you up and leaves you feeling in awe, wondering how you ever existed before. It’s a City that I am most certainly in love with and a City I’ll be visiting again.
Juice Plus // I’m definitely someone that yo-yo diets but for the first time in my life I am genuinely able to say that I can feel the difference between eating healthy and not doing so. Over the past week I have been making a huge make healthier decisions about what I eat and I can honestly see the difference. When I eat cleaner, I feel so much more productive and I definitely get more done!! As someone once told me, you wouldn’t put the wrong fuel in your car so why do we do it to our bodies.
The blogging community // When I first started blogging I become quite active in the blogging community, I loved it but for several reasons I slowly slipped out of it and become withdrawn and I kinda felt a bit alienated. Yet something happened last week that made realise how much I missed it. Over the last few weeks I have been making a conscious effort to be involved again and it’s made such a difference. I am once again a lot happier.
Water // Earlier in the month I purchased a gorgeous little water bottle from my local Paperchase and I made a commitment to ensure that I use it. So I’ve been making a huge effort to keep it filled with water and every morning I’ve drunk one bottle before I eat breakfast. It has made such a difference to the quality of my skin, my skin is so much clearer and softer. I’m nowhere near drinking the daily allowance yet but I am making headway toward it!
Pretty Little Liars // When I finished watching the complete Gossip Girl collection I knew that it was time to look find something new to fill the void that was left behind and having read thousands of positive reviews of Pretty Little Liars, I decided that was next on my hit list. While I still find the show to be a tad unbelievable at times, it’s uncompromisingly addictive and I find myself binging on the episodes on netflix!
MAC Brave // This has definitely become my favourite everyday lipstick and it has fast won the title of the “perfect nude”. I won’t go in to too much detail (you can see my review here) but’s stunning rose-nude shade is perfect for adding a fresh pop of colour. I’ve been warning a pink-sheened lipgloss on top to add a little something more but this “mine but better” lipstick is heavenly and perfect for the pumped Kendell Jenner effect.
What have you been loving through April?
