An Ode to the Chelsea Boot

IMG_0018

I like to think that by now you all know a fair bit about me, probably even things that you wish you didn’t, so it won’t matter if I share an extra piece of information with you. Brace yourself, this could get messy….

I have the weirdest feet ever. Full stop. No comparison or alternative.

Ok, let me explain this a tiny bit better. I’ve been to the professional shoe fitters a million times, had my feet measured and spent more than I care to admit on fitted shoes and yet, shoes still continue to hurt me. Its very rare that I find a pair of shoes that don’t cause me pain, so when I do find a comfortable it’s like discovering the holy grail. It’s life changing and boy do I make those shoes work for me.

With this in mind, I’m sure you can appreciate that summer is the perfect season for my slight foot problem and I literally live in backless flip flops and always feel lost when the winter months approach, requiring more seasonly appropriate footwear.

For years it was Uggs to flip flops and flip flops to Uggs, that was until I discovered the Chelsea Boot- the sexy, comfortable and weather ready boot. It is the general of footwear, read for any challenge and prepared to fight the good fight.

I can guarantee you that I’ll be living in these for the next few months, what about you?
