2014 Project!

Hello everyone, how are you??

So recently  I blogged about the goals that I have set myself for the upcoming year, but alongside these goals I’ve also decided to set myself a little project! While my goals are really important because they relate to the quality of my life in someway, my project is going to be a little side hobby (something that isn’t blogging or writing or reading), something that is more enjoyable than serious.

A few years ago my wonderful mother bought me one of the beautiful, traditional dolls houses, because I have always admired the minute furniture and cute dolls. While my grandfather had a lot of fun putting it together for me (no sarcasm at all, he genuinely loved it), it has largely been neglected ever since. When I first got it, I had these bold ambitions for what I wanted it to look like, and I had a picture of what I wanted in each room, due to going to university and money issues, I have not been able to spend much time or money on it! Until now….

So I thought I would show you some pictures of what it looks like now and then you can see it change with me! As you can see there is a tiny bit of furniture in there already.

My aim for this year is to turn this sad looking house, into the dolls house to end all dolls houses. I am going start from the basics (literally repaper it all etc) and then work my out to the tiny little details (the food and newspapers). I am hoping that each month I will be able to work on this in some way!!

So I am currently torn between going for a “1920s” theme or a “Georgian/ Regency” theme? Which do you think would look best?

I am going to thrash out my budget and plan for this project this weekend and will be checking back with the details next week!!
